I was watching Nature last night on PBS, a program about the recovery of the grizzly bear population in Yellowstone. Lots of pretty scenery, lots of natural sounds of birds, and some middle-distance shots of bears and elk calves running across the screen.
Nikky suddenly jumped off my lap and ran to the television, batting at the moving animal images. When a bear or elk ran off the screen, she ducked around the side of the set, as if expecting it to appear out of the box, toy-sized, ready to become prey. This she did a few times, on both sides of the set, and also spent about ten minutes batting at the figures on the screen.
The cat show was as good as the TV show! |
